Assignments: Submitting & Grading
Assignments are course content items with a grade, pass grade, deadline, and limited attempts. Students submit answers with attachments; instructors review and grade them.

⚠ Feature switch: assignments only work when the admin has enabled the Assignments feature (webinar_assignment_status in Admin → Settings → General → Features). While it's off, assignment pages show "Access Not Allowed" — which is the current state on the live site.
1. Create an Assignment — Instructor
- Log in → avatar → Dashboard → sidebar Courses → My Courses, open your course.
- Go to wizard Step 4 — Content.
- Open (or create) a chapter and choose Add new assignments.
- Fill the fields in order: Title, Description, Grade (total marks), Pass Grade, Deadline (days), Attempts (how many submissions allowed).
- Click New attachment to add instruction files — each row has a Title and a Browse file picker.
- Switch Active on and click Save.
2. Find and Submit an Assignment — Student
- Log in → avatar → Dashboard → sidebar Assignments → My Assignments.
- The table shows each assignment's Deadline, Attempts, Grade, Pass Grade and Status. Click View assignment — it opens inside the course learning page.
- In the Send assignment form write your Description (answer), optionally add a File title and Attachment, and click Send.
- Your status changes to Pending review and the instructor is notified. You can keep messaging in the same thread until your attempts or the deadline run out (late submissions are rejected with a deadline error).
3. Review and Grade — Instructor
- Sidebar → Assignments — your courses' assignments, each with Pending submissions and All submissions links (Students Assignments shows every submission across courses).
- Open a submission — statuses are Not submitted / Pending review / Passed / Failed.
- Click View assignment to open the student's thread on the learning page. You can reply with feedback and files (Reply to the conversation → Send).
- Click the grade action to open the Rate assignment dialog, enter the Assignment grade, and save.
- A grade below the pass grade marks the submission Failed; at or above marks it Passed (the student earns reward points and is notified either way).
